Who we are and what we sell

oin is made by two independent creators based in Kazakhstan. We are not a registered company - just two friends making personalised games as gifts.

Payments for oin are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record and the authorised reseller for every order. This means Paddle is the seller on your receipt and on your bank or card statement, Paddle collects payment and any applicable tax, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. We make and deliver the game itself; everything about the transaction is between you and Paddle.

Each oin game is a made-to-order 2D pixel-art video game built around you or the person you're gifting it to. Every game includes:

• A main character drawn from a photo you upload
• Two personal letters written by you, built into the game
• A custom 5-question quiz that you write
• A final level set in Almaty or Astana
• 4 included NPC characters (Gojo, Jennie, Qairat Nurtas, Qasym-Jomart Toqayev), of which 2 can be replaced free of charge

Orders and payment

To order, you fill out the order form on our website with your name, a contact handle, your email address, an optional referral or promo code, your character's photo and name, your chosen final level, the text of your two letters, your 5 quiz questions with 4 answers each, and the names of any extra NPCs you would like.

Submitting the form does not charge you anything and does not commit you to buying. After you submit it, we confirm the details and email you a secure Paddle checkout link. You pay Paddle, not us. Work on your game begins only once Paddle confirms that payment has gone through.

Prices are fixed per country and are shown on our Pricing page. Extra NPCs beyond the 2 free replacements cost extra, and the full total is shown to you before you pay. Any sales tax or VAT that applies in your country is calculated and added by Paddle at checkout, and shown to you before you confirm.

Delivery

Your game is delivered digitally only - there is no physical product and nothing is shipped. Once your game is finished, we send you a download link to our cloud storage.

Delivery normally takes 3-7 days after payment is received. The game runs as a desktop build for Windows, macOS and Linux.

No refunds

Because each game is made to your own specification and production starts as soon as payment is confirmed, we do not offer refunds. This applies to the full order, including cases where you change your mind after ordering.

If the consumer law where you live normally gives you a cancellation or withdrawal period for online purchases, please note that by placing an order you expressly ask us to begin producing your personalised game straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose that cancellation right once we do. This follows the standard exceptions for goods made to a consumer's specification and for digital content supplied with the consumer's prior express consent. Nothing in this section removes a right that the law of your country does not allow you to give up.

Paddle, as merchant of record, may also issue a refund in its own discretion under its Buyer Terms - for example in cases of duplicate payment, fraud, or where a refund is legally required.

Your content and responsibilities

You are responsible for everything you upload or write for your game - the photo, the letters, the quiz, and any NPC names.

• You must own the photo and text you submit, or have permission to use them
• If a photo shows another person, you must have their consent to use it
• You must not upload or submit anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights

We may decline to start, or stop working on, any order that breaks these rules.

Licence and intellectual property

Once delivered, your game is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You can play it, keep it, and give it as a gift.

You may not resell it, redistribute it publicly, or use it for any commercial purpose. oin keeps ownership of the underlying game engine, artwork, and code used to build your game.

We may use anonymised screenshots of finished games in our portfolio or marketing. If you would rather we didn't, just tell us on Instagram and we won't.

Revisions

If we make a mistake - a typo in a letter, a wrong name - we'll fix it for free before delivery. Substantial changes requested after your game has been delivered may need to be placed as a new order.

Disclaimers and liability

We deliver your game as-is. We can't guarantee it will run perfectly on every computer or hardware setup.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the game. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your order.

Age requirement

You must be 18 or older to order from oin. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must give permission and place the order on your behalf.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use oin after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. If a disagreement comes up, we'll always try to resolve it directly with you first. If that doesn't work, it will be resolved under the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you live, and the payment side of your purchase is additionally governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
