Which photo to use for your oin character

The main character of an oin game is generated from one photo of the recipient. A clear, well-lit picture gives a character that looks like them; a blurry one gives a guess. Here is how to choose.
What makes a good photo
- One person, face turned toward the camera or slightly to the side.
- Even daylight, no harsh shadows across the face.
- A natural expression; a smile is fine, a squint is not.
- Hair and outfit the way you want the character to look.
- A sharp picture, taken at normal distance, not a crop of a group.
What to avoid
Sunglasses, heavy filters, masks, strong back-light and photos where another person overlaps the face all make the result harder to read.
Authorized use
Use a photo you are authorized to use. That means you took it, or the person agreed to it being used. If other people are visible and identifiable, they must agree too.
A photo for each NPC
The two custom NPCs follow the same rules: one clear face, good light, and the agreement of the person pictured.
Can you change it?
The character is generated from the photo you choose, so choose carefully before you order. If something is wrong with the finished game, email oingift@gmail.com with your order number.

oingift.com is the website of oin, a service that turns your story into a personalized 2D pixel game you give as a gift. The recipient is the main character, generated from an authorized photo, and the game carries your two letters and a 5-question quiz about you.
How does oingift.com work?
You upload a clear, authorized photo of the recipient, write two letters and five quiz questions, and pay once. The pixel character is generated from the photo and the game is usually emailed within an hour as a private link.
Is oingift.com safe to pay on and does it offer refunds?
Yes. Payment runs on a secure Polar checkout, Polar is the Merchant of Record, and oin never sees your card details. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice, or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed: email oingift@gmail.com with your order number. Which final levels does oin have?
The final level available today is set in Almaty, Kazakhstan. New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon and are not available to choose yet.
