Almaty to Dubai: the time difference

Dubai is about 1 hour behind Almaty, so 8 pm in Dubai is roughly 9 pm in Almaty. The gap shifts by an hour for part of the year when the clocks change.

The gap is small, so calling is easy: an evening call suits both of you.

What a parcel across the border costs you

A parcel from Almaty to Dubai crosses a border, so allow one to three weeks and check customs rules for food, liquids and anything with a battery. A digital gift has none of that.

Buying for your partner

Gifts for a partner work when they reflect the way the two of you live. Notice routines, shared jokes and plans you have made together.

If you are unsure of a taste, an experience for two is safer than an object.

If you left it late

Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day, even on the 14th. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment. Pair one with a handwritten card and they still have something to open.

Valentine’s Day gifts compete with everyone else’s, so personal beats expensive. A card in your own words does more than a large bouquet from a florist who is rushed.

Opening it together on a call

Send the link, agree a time that works in both cities and open the game on a video call. You can read the quiz questions aloud while they play, or share your screen and watch.

Almaty is also where every oin game ends, since the final level is set in the city, so a game for a couple with Almaty in the story has a natural last stop.
