A personalized game gift for your wife: a pixel trip that ends in Almaty

What the game is, in one page

oin ends in a real city. Today that city is Almaty, Kazakhstan, with its mountains and wide avenues, so she finishes the story on a level with a view most people will never see in a game.

Under the hood it is a short pixel game with levels, a quiz and a final level in Almaty, Kazakhstan. You supply the photo, the letters, the questions and, if you like, two NPCs; New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon.

What to write in the two letters

Let the second letter, the one that closes the final level, be about a journey you want to take together, whether or not it ever leaves the screen.

Five quiz questions to start from

Choose quiz questions about places: where you met, where you got lost, where you want to go.

• What do you always order when we eat out?
• Which song is ours?
• What was I wearing on our first date?
• Which city do we keep saying we will move to?
• Where did we go on our first trip?

If you want to give it today

A gift with no date attached says more than one on a deadline. Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game are quick to arrange, and an oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment.

Unprompted gifts work best when they are small and specific. Tie it to something she said recently, and say why you chose it in a short note.

Why it suits your wife

After years together, the best gift is proof you remember. A game built from your own history, with letters that mention where you are now, does that better than another object.

Choose quiz questions from different years of your marriage, so the whole story is in the game.

How to make it, step by step

• Upload an authorized photo of her; the main character is generated from it.
• Write two letters, the first for the opening room and the second for the end of the final level.
• Write five quiz questions with their answers; every correct answer gives flowers.
• Add up to two custom NPCs, friends or family, as long as everyone who appears agrees.
• Pay once, $29.90, with no subscription; the game is usually emailed within an hour.

Price, delivery and refunds

You see the price for your region before you pay: $29.90, once, with nothing to renew. The checkout is run by Polar, the Merchant of Record, and the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour, with a private link that works for a year and a copy to keep. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.
