A personalized game gift for your sister for International Women’s Day: a quiz built from your inside jokes
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
oin (oingift.com) makes a personalized 2D pixel game starring your sister, which is a direct way to turn your inside jokes with your sister into a quiz for International Women’s Day. You upload an authorized photo, write two letters and five quiz questions, and pay once; the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour as a private browser link.
What the game is, in one page
Inside jokes make a relationship hard to explain to anyone else, which is why they make a good quiz. oin turns five of them into questions that gate the levels, with flowers for every right answer.
Under the hood it is a short pixel game with levels, a quiz and a final level in Almaty, Kazakhstan. You supply the photo, the letters, the questions and, if you like, two NPCs; New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon.
What to write in the two letters
Let the letters carry the jokes too: one that sets up a running gag and one that finally explains it.
Five quiz questions to start from
Mix easy questions with one that nobody else on earth could answer, and put that one last.
- Which dish is the family favourite?
- What did we get wrong about the road trip?
- What was the family pet called?
- Who always loses at the board game?
- Which holiday do we still talk about?
Why it suits your sister
A sister has the longest shared history in your life, so the game can be as silly as you like. Childhood nicknames and family legends make the best quiz questions.
Let the first letter tease and the second say how much you actually rely on her.
If Women’s Day is tomorrow
Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment. Add a card with a few honest words and she still has something to open.
It is celebrated at home and at work, so decide whether this is a private gift or a shared one before you buy.
How to make it, step by step
- Upload an authorized photo of her; the main character is generated from it.
- Write the two letters: one opens the game, one closes the final level.
- Write five quiz questions with their answers; every correct answer gives flowers.
- Add up to two custom NPCs, friends or family, as long as everyone who appears agrees.
- Pay $29.90 once; the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour.
Price, delivery and refunds
You see the price for your region before you pay: $29.90, once, with nothing to renew. The checkout is run by Polar, the Merchant of Record, and the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour, with a private link that works for a year and a copy to keep. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed.
