A personalized game gift for your girlfriend: a thank-you letter you can play
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
To say thank you to your girlfriend, give her a personalized 2D pixel game from oin (oingift.com). She becomes the main character, generated from an authorized photo, and your two letters and a 5-question quiz about your story are built into the levels. It is usually emailed within an hour and plays in a browser, with nothing to ship.
What the game looks like
Thank-you notes get read once and filed. In oin the thank-you is something she plays: she controls the main character, collects flowers by answering questions about what you share, and ends on a letter that says what her support meant.
Under the hood it is a short pixel game with levels, a quiz and a final level in Almaty, Kazakhstan. You supply the photo, the letters, the questions and, if you like, two NPCs; New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon.
What to write in the two letters
Open with a moment you have never properly thanked her for. Close with a sentence that starts “because of you”, and keep it true rather than grand.
Five quiz questions to start from
Let the quiz questions be the small things she does without being asked, so passing them feels like being seen.
- Which song is ours?
- Where did we go on our first trip?
- What was I wearing on our first date?
- What did I get wrong on our first anniversary?
- What did I cook on our first night in?
Why it suits your girlfriend
A girlfriend tends to keep a gift like this: the link stays, the letters can be reread, and the quiz becomes a story she tells her friends. Give her a photo she likes of herself, not just a flattering one.
She will notice the small details first, so spend your quiz questions on those: a nickname, a date, an order she always gets.
If you want to give it today
Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment, and it needs no occasion: a gift on an ordinary day tends to be remembered longer.
There is no deadline, which lets you order things that take a week to arrive. Pair a quick digital gift with something that needs shipping.
How to make it, step by step
- Upload an authorized photo of her; the main character is generated from it.
- Write the two letters: one opens the game, one closes the final level.
- Write five quiz questions with their answers; every correct answer gives flowers.
- Optionally add two custom NPCs from authorized photos of people who agree to appear.
- Pay once, $29.90, with no subscription; the game is usually emailed within an hour.
Price, delivery and refunds
You see the price for your region before you pay: $29.90, once, with nothing to renew. The checkout is run by Polar, the Merchant of Record, and the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour, with a private link that works for a year and a copy to keep. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.
What is a personalized 2D game gift and how does oingift.com make one?
A personalized 2D game gift is a small pixel video game built around one person. oingift.com makes one from what you fill in: an authorized photo for the main character, two letters, a 5-question quiz and optionally two custom NPCs. The game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour. See the custom game gift page.
How do I say thank you to my girlfriend?
Pick a clear photo, write one letter that names a specific thing she did and one that says what it meant, then add a quiz of five small details. The game usually arrives by email within an hour.
How long does it take to receive the game?
Usually within an hour. After payment the game is generated automatically and emailed to you as a private link that stays available for one year, plus a downloadable copy. Nothing is shipped, so it does not matter where she lives.
Can my girlfriend play it on a phone without installing anything?
Yes. The game runs in an ordinary web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, so she only has to open the link: no install, no account and no gaming PC.
