A personalized game gift for your dad for his graduation: a quiz built from your inside jokes
Updated: · Disclosure: oin is our own product.
A personalized game gift is a small pixel video game built around your dad. With oin (oingift.com) you turn your inside jokes with your dad into a quiz for his graduation: the letters, the quiz and the story are yours to write, the final level is set in Almaty, and the game is usually in your inbox within an hour of payment.
What the game looks like
The quiz is the part he will talk about afterwards. Each question is yours to write, so the only way to pass is to have been there.
The story is built from what you fill in: an authorized photo for the main character, two letters, a 5-question quiz with flowers for correct answers and up to two custom NPCs. The final level is set in Almaty, Kazakhstan; New York and Tokyo are coming soon.
What to write in the two letters
Use the first letter to ease him in with a joke only the two of you get, and the second to say what that joke is really about.
Five quiz questions to start from
Mix easy questions with one that nobody else on earth could answer, and put that one last.
- Who always loses at the board game?
- What was the family pet called?
- What does Dad or Mom always say at dinner?
- Which holiday do we still talk about?
- Which song played in the car?
Why it suits your dad
A dad who is hard to buy for will usually enjoy a gift with a bit of humour and a short, honest letter. Make him the hero and keep the quiz to family stories.
It opens from a link in a browser, so there is nothing for him to set up.
If the ceremony is tomorrow
Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment. Pair one with a card with a few words on how proud you are.
Consider whether the budget is better spent on a party or a gift. A personal note about what you saw along the way costs nothing and is remembered.
How to make it, step by step
- Choose a clear photo of him that you are authorized to use, and the pixel character is generated from it.
- Write two letters, the first for the opening room and the second for the end of the final level.
- Write five quiz questions with their answers; every correct answer gives flowers.
- Add up to two custom NPCs, friends or family, as long as everyone who appears agrees.
- Pay $29.90 once; the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour.
Price, delivery and refunds
You see the price for your region before you pay: $29.90, once, with nothing to renew. The checkout is run by Polar, the Merchant of Record, and the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour, with a private link that works for a year and a copy to keep. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.

How do I turn my inside jokes with my dad into a quiz for his graduation?
Write five questions from your real inside jokes, add the answers, two short letters and an authorized photo for the main character. oin turns them into a pixel game that is emailed to you, usually within an hour.
How long does it take to receive the game?
About an hour in most cases. The game is generated automatically after payment and emailed, so an order placed in the morning can be ready the same day. There is no parcel and no customs.
Can my dad play it on a phone without installing anything?
Yes. It plays in a browser on any recent phone, so he taps the link and plays. Nothing to download or install.
