A personalized game gift for a coworker: a pixel trip that ends in Almaty

What the game looks like

Every oin game finishes on a final level set in Almaty. It is the part that makes the story feel like a trip: they climb through your memories and arrives somewhere real, where your second letter is waiting.

Under the hood it is a short pixel game with levels, a quiz and a final level in Almaty, Kazakhstan. You supply the photo, the letters, the questions and, if you like, two NPCs; New York and Tokyo final levels are coming soon.

What to write in the two letters

Let the second letter, the one that closes the final level, be about a journey you want to take together, whether or not it ever leaves the screen.

Five quiz questions to start from

Choose quiz questions about places: where you met, where you got lost, where you want to go.

• Who always arrives last?
• Who told the story about the lost phone differently?
• What game did we play all night?
• Which song do we sing too loudly?
• Which of us cried at the film?

Why it suits a coworker

For a coworker, keep it warm and safe: a game with an appreciation letter and a quiz about work in-jokes, nothing personal. A pixel version of the office is a gift people actually remember.

Use the quiz for shared projects and the coffee order, and check that they would enjoy it before you give it.

If you want to give it today

Gift cards, flowers and a personalized game can be arranged online the same day. An oin game is usually emailed within an hour of payment, and it needs no occasion: a gift on an ordinary day tends to be remembered longer.

Unprompted gifts work best when they are small and specific. Tie it to something they said recently, and say why you chose it in a short note.

How to make it, step by step

• Choose a clear photo of them that you are authorized to use, and the pixel character is generated from it.
• Write two letters, the first for the opening room and the second for the end of the final level.
• Add a 5-question quiz about your friendship; each correct answer is rewarded with flowers.
• Add up to two custom NPCs, friends or family, as long as everyone who appears agrees.
• Pay once, $29.90, with no subscription; the game is usually emailed within an hour.

Price, delivery and refunds

You see the price for your region before you pay: $29.90, once, with nothing to renew. The checkout is run by Polar, the Merchant of Record, and the game is generated automatically and usually emailed within an hour, with a private link that works for a year and a copy to keep. All sales are final once delivery starts, but you get a full refund if the game cannot be generated or delivered, if you are charged twice or if it is faulty and cannot be fixed. See the refund policy.
